I was able to cut that down to 240 by myself over 3 or 4 years but I got stuck and needed help. When I first saw Jeff it was a photo on Facebook and my 1st thought was typical of someone who is dealing with something as deeply personal as body image. Why would I want to allow some massively bulked up, muscle-bound bodybuilder into my fragile world of self-image to just make me realize even more how fat and out of shape I was?
I finally worked up the nerve to meet Jeff for a consultation and tour Ironhouse in January, 2018. As is so often the case, the unfairness of making assumptions about someone based on a picture became evident for me. Jeff is easily approachable and a very enjoyable person to be around. So I made the leap and started working with Jeff. I have to say that it’s true, he is NOT a personal trainer, he is the definition of a coach.
In the 5 months Jeff and I have been working together I have learned that so much of changing your body begins with nutrition, I have dropped 30lbs and gained quite a bit of muscle.
NOW, I will tell you at times it wasn’t easy because Jeff can be a bit hard headed and I am worse! But, 18 months later at the age of 58, I am stronger and more physically fit than I have ever been in my life. Sooooo, it obviously works! I will leave you with one of my favorite sayings getting fit and staying fit is pretty much like everything else in life. It is “ALL about the want to!” If you have the “want to” Jeff can help you get there.
I began working with Jeff in May of 2008, after working with him for 6 months I have lost 60 lbs and have achieved my goal of joining the military. I believe that I would still have accomplished this goal without Jeff, but there is no doubt that with Jeff’s help I have been able to obtain this goal much sooner than if I would have continued on my own. Jeff’s workouts have given me a lot of new options for my cardio routine that I was not doing before that has really made a huge impact on my workouts and progress. Ultimately, I would recommend anyone to Jeff because he will teach and show you anything and everything you need to do to accomplish your individual goals.
